How We Verify Authenticity

Our collection has been built over 30+ years of direct sourcing from theaters and distribution channels. We examine paper stock, printing techniques, fold patterns, and provenance for each piece. Reproductions and restrikes exhibit consistent differences in paper weight, ink saturation, and manufacturing details that are identifiable to an experienced eye.

What "Original" Means

An original theatrical movie poster is one printed and distributed by the studio specifically for display in theaters during the film's initial release. Original posters were not sold to the public — they were distributed through the studio's distribution network and returned or discarded after use.
